Launching the new Steam Top Charts page

VG Insights is a games industry data paltform, much like Newzoo and Sensortower. However, it’s main focus has always been on PC and Steam games.

Now, Video Game Insights has released a new feature — Steam top charts.

The new page allows everyone to see top games on Steam. Video Game Insights shows top games by active players, unit sales, follower gain and revenue basis.

A lot of these elements are free for everyone to see, whenever they want!

Top active player charts are dominated by multiplayer games

For example, Lost Ark and ELDEN RING are topping the charts currently for active player numbers. Both have about 600k active players at any given moment. They’ve even topped CS:GO, a game that has long held the #1 spot.

Other games in the top 10 list tend also to be multiplayer focused — Dota, PUBG, Apex, Destiny, GTA 5, Team Fortress 2 and Rust.

ELDEN RING also tops the top grossing chart this year

There is little competition to Elden Ring this year. It’s generated more revenue since launch the rest of the top 5 put together. With almost $250 million in gross sales already, Elden Ring is possibly going to be the mot sold game on Steam this year.
